| NewportFed wants you to be able
to bank whenever and wherever you want. You have an open
invitation to visit any of our locations in person, but
we understand that is not always convenient for you. For
this reason we offer you several ways to manage your money
from afar, including the NewportFed Information Hotline.
This free and useful resource makes access to your account(s)
only a phone call away. Our Information
Hotline is a touch-tone telephone banking system, available
24 hours a day, seven days a week. Calling 1-888-660-NFSB
connects you to a variety of information, such as:
- current balances of your NewportFed
accounts, including checking, NOW, money market and/or
savings accounts as well as any CDs and IRAs you may
have
- balance and payment inquiries on mortgages,
construction loans, equity loans and lines of credit,
and installment loans
- account history of activity posted
to the above accounts, including ATM withdrawals (or
Visa® Check Card purchases) since you last statement
- checking inquiries to determine which
checks have cleared your account since your last statement
- options to transfer monies between
any of your statement-based accounts, providing your
name is listed as the primary account holder
- details of current interest rates on
savings accounts, certificates of deposit, individual
retirement planning accounts and NOW accounts
The hotline will also let you know how
else you can reach us, with information such as bank
hours and locations. NewportFed offers our valued customers
this hotline service to make your banking easier. We
hope that you find it to be a useful tool.
Easy Access
When you enter the hotline system
for the first time, you’ll need to follow a few
specific steps to allow continued access:
- dial 1-888-660-NFSB (1-888-660-6372)
- you will be prompted to select an option
- if you select the account information
option, you will be asked to enter your account number
as it appears on your statement
- you will then be asked to enter the
last four digits of you social security number, which
will become your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
(For your security, you may change your PIN to a four-digit
number of your choice by selecting Option 5 on the
main menu.)
After that, you can listen to the account
information that you requested. And, additional accounts
can be accessed for the first time by repeating the
above process.
Following your initial set-up call, all
of the hotline’s features will become even faster
and easier to access. You will only need to enter your
account number (as it appears on your statement) and
PIN.
